Since his time as a deckhand he has owned and operated several vessels including the F/V Tontine, which he has owned for 31 years to date. Captain Matt has also been working on charter and party boats since he was a teenager and is entering his 17th season working on the ocean. Fishing is captain Matt's full time profession and he is the primary captain aboard the F/V Tontine.
